TheCO and RO ICT Security Guidelines have been launched in first quarter of 2009. They provide security guidelines for UNDP Country and Regional Offices. ICT managers, in cooperation with administrative officers, RIOs or RRs and other appropriate personnel, must conduct an annual review of user and system operation practices to evaluate compliance against existing BOM OIST security protocols and procedures. These security best practices and protocols may also assist regionally-based personnel (for example, RIM, Regional Director, etc.) and OAI/LSO personnel when visiting Country Offices.

The NEX Task Force is finalizing the following procedures: i) selection of implementing arrangements; ii) selection of implementing partners, including capacity assessments and a clarification of the distinction between systemic capacity assessment and implementation capacity assessment; iii) project appraisal; and iv) clarification of accountability under different implementing arrangements, of implementing partners, and for UNDP as a responsible party.... The NEX Task Force is finalizing the following procedures: i) selection of implementing arrangements; ii) selection of implementing partners, including capacity assessments and a clarification of the distinction between systemic capacity assessment and implementation capacity assessment; iii) project appraisal; and iv) clarification of accountability under different implementing arrangements, of implementing partners, and for UNDP as a responsible party. These revisions will be accompanied by the release of a printed version of procedures for implementation by national governments (i.e. ‘NIM’). Procedures on the financial closure of development projects and trust funds are now available in the POPP in English, French and Spanish. These procedures supplement programme and operational procedures for project closure as detailed in the Programme and Project Management chapter of the POPP and should be applied either in conjunction or following the programme and operational closure of the project.
