The implementation of Early Recovery Packages will ensure that critical programmatic interventions are delivered to crisis-affected populations in a timely manner. The Pre-Approved Operations and Programmatic Special Measures for Early Recovery Packages and Crisis Programming complement existing UNDP policies and procedures and are to be used only for the duration of the crisis level, and cover:

The Supplementary Protocols for Crisis Contexts complement the updated SOPs for Immediate Crisis Response to address crisis more holistically at an organizational level and are published as a related policy. The Supplementary Protocols were developed through distilling lessons from 17 UNDP priority countries over the past 18 months, guiding UNDP’s response in Anticipate & Prevent settings and in Fragile & Protracted contexts.
