The Medical Clearance policy has been updated to align with ST/AI/2018/4 which was issued for the purpose of establishing conditions and procedures for medical clearance in order to implement staff regulation 4.6 and staff rule 4.19 and for official travel.

The Bring Your Own Device and Acceptable Usage of ICT Resources policy has been updated to clarify the use of email domains for UNDP and affiliated entities, provide greater flexibility in naming conventions for user accounts (including the use of preferred names, where justified), and mandate the implementation of multi-factor authentication for login procedures to enhance cybersecurity. These changes strengthen the policy’s clarity and reinforce the organization’s commitment to robust cybersecurity practices.

The Security Policy has been updated to reflect the dissolution of the Security Management Group (SMG), as its functions were duplicative of existing actors and mechanisms, including the Security Office (SO), the Crisis Operations Group (COG), and the Senior Emergency Policy Team (SEPT). In crisis situations at Headquarters in New York, UNDP engages directly with UN system-wide crisis management structures through established roles, with the SO Director participating in the COG and senior UNDP leadership representing the organization at the SEPT.
