The explanatory notes in Step 8 of the Internship procedure have been updated to clarify that the OHR Policy and compensation unit will periodically publish a schedule of stipends/remote stipends by duty station. |

Provisions have been included in UNDP’s internship framework to provide for remote interns who are eligible to a reduced stipend at the remote internship rate. Offices in non-family duty stations and other dangerous locations which are not permitted to offer in-person internships, will now be able to offer remote internships. Specific guidance to managers on how to best engage interns remotely is provided. |

This enabling Policy provides expanded eligibility by including any student enrolled in the last year of a bachelors' degree and one year after graduation from a master's degree or equivalent studies. It also removes the obligation that interns secure life insurance, as well as the ban on employment following the internship while clarifying that interns may not apply to positions during their internships. |

The interim guidance for preparation of country programme documents and costed evaluation plans being prepared for submission to the Executive Board in 2011 is now available. The interim guidance contains links to revised templates (including the format of country programme document itself, results and resources framework and evaluation plan), forms and deadlines posted on the RBM platform. Upon the approval of the revised Evaluation Policy in January 2011, the relevant sections of the POPP will be updated.
